Peter King Vows to Fight Jackson’s Humanitarian Honor
–>
Texas State Representative Sheila Jackson Lee was one of many to speak at Michael Jackson’s memorial on July 7.
At the memorial, Lee presented a House resolution to honor the late singer. She hoisted a framed copy of the resolution, embossed with a gold seal. The measure will be debated on the House floor, she said.
Lee spoke powerful words about Michael and the negative media attention since his death. Without mentioning his name, Lee slammed the New York Congressman who called Jackson a “pervert” and “pedophile.”
She blasted critics who “don’t understand the hearts of entertainers” and “don’t know how they heal the world on behalf of America.”
“We understand the Constitution. We understand laws and we know people are innocent until proven otherwise. That is what the Constitution stands for,”
King said Jackson, whom he called a “low-life” was being praised by the media and the coverage of his death trumps the efforts of teacher, police officers, fire fighters and veterans. He added, the “day in and day out” reports of his death is “too politically incorrect.” All of his statements were taped and uploaded to youtube.com, reports Fox News.
“There’s nothing good to say about this guy,” King continued. “But the bottom line is, would you let your child or grandchild be in the same room as Michael Jackson?”
The legislation, House Resolution 600, lists several charitable causes Jackson participated in throughout his career and proclaims him an American legend, musical icon and world humanitarian. He is, Jackson Lee said, “someone who will be honored forever and forever and forever and forever and forever.”
King vowed Tuesday to do “whatever I have to do” to oppose honoring Jackson.

Faith Evans and Lil Kim ran in to each other over the weekend at the Diddy “White” Party and they almost started scrappin’… again:
Lil Kim and Faith had a face-to-face encounter towards the close of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ coveted White Party in California, sources have reported. Faith and Kim, whom both shared a relationship with The Notorious B.I.G., crossed paths at the White Party, which was held in Los Angeles instead of The Hampton’s in New York. Sources said that Lil Kim took issue with her representation in Notorious, the biopic in which Faith was attached to. Faith was in attendance with her husband and Lil Kim was with producer Choke No Joke and to some, this augmented the tension.
“It was really heated,” one source said. “It was about to pop off…there was crazy screaming.” According to sources, Faith was saying, “I love you” to Lil Kim and Kim responded with “God bless you.” However, later at the event, Kim asked Faith, “How would you say you love me when you trashed me in your book?” Under anonymity, a source told AllHipHop.com “We know that [Faith saying 'I love you'] is bulls**t. It wasn’t even about the movie. It hurt Kim that she was being fake.” Actor Dennis Da Menace, who played D-Roc in “Notorious” and Devante Swing of Jodeci fame were able to prevent a potentially violent exchange between Faith’s husband, Todd Russaw, and Choke No Joke. “At first it was cool, but then Dennis had to peace it out,” another source said. Russaw reportedly attempted to take pictures as Kim and Faith spoke peacefully, to which Choke took exception.
Choke expressed publicly that it was inappropriate to take pictures and charged that Russaw was intoxicated. Russaw was not available for comment on the allegation. Of the matter, Choke would only say, “Yes, I was there, but I don’t have nothing to do with it. Please leave me out of it.” Sean “Diddy” Combs was not at the location at the time of the incident. Despite the drama, Diddy managed to raise awareness for a charity, Malaria No More and his guests enjoyed their time, reports say.

This is really going to get ugly. Debbie Rowe wants custody of the children and a restraining order against Joe Jackson. Ironic since news just surfaced of her being left out of Michael’s will:
“I want my children,” Rowe said during a 90-minute phone conversation Thursday morning with NBCLA’s Chuck Henry. Rowe said she was willing to submit to any testing, including DNA to prove that she is the children’s true biological mother. Rowe also said she would submit to psychological testing. She also said she would seek a restraining order to keep Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, away from the children.
The agreement does allow for visitation, but Rowe said it’s a very difficult process. She said if she misses a visitation date, it is difficult to reschedule with the Jacksons. “I am stepping up,” Rowe said. “I have to.” Rowe said she was still grieving. She said she decided she had to seek custody after Jackson’s death. “We had an agreement… he didn’t keep his end,” Rowe said, referring to Jackson’s death. “It hasn’t been easy. It’s been painful.” Jackson, who died at age 50, left behind three children: son Michael Joseph Jr., known as Prince Michael, 12; daughter Paris Michael Katherine, 11; and son Prince Michael II, 7. Rowe was the mother of the two oldest children. The youngest was born to a surrogate mother, who has never been identified. Rowe said she was concerned about splitting up the children. She said she did not expect the court to grant custody of the third child, but added that she would be willing to accept custody.
Rowe, who was married to Jackson in 1996 and filed for divorce three years later, surrendered her parental rights. An appeals court later found that was done in error, and Rowe and Jackson entered an out-of-court settlement in 2006. In her testimony eight years ago, Rowe said, “I had the children for him. They wouldn’t be on this planet if it wasn’t for my love for him. I did it for him to become a father, not for me to become a mother. You earn the title ‘parent.” I have done absolutely nothing to earn that title.” Earlier this week, Jackson’s mother was appointed temporary guardian of the children, pending a hearing on Monday. A will signed by Jackson in 2002 and filed with the court Wednesday requests that Katherine Jackson be named guardian of the children, but in the event of her death, he asked that singer Diana Ross be appointed.
The will also specifically leaves Rowe out of any inheritance. “I have intentionally omitted to provide for my former wife, Deborah Jean Rowe Jackson,” the will states. Rowe’s attorney, Eric George, told the Los Angeles Times he will be at the custody hearing Monday to represent her.
They will be fighting over this for years simply because the kids are the biggest beneficiaries of Michael’s estate. She found out her tub of lard was left out the will and went for the next thing floating. They aren’t even her biological kids. SMH.

Quincy Jones Goes In On Michael Jackson

Quincy Jones did an interview with Men Style magazine and he dug deep into Michael. I honestly can’t tell if he’s just being honest as a friend should be, if there’s some ill-intent. You judge for yourself. And this is just a preview!
On the Strange Evolution of Michael’s appearance
Oh, we talked about it all the time. But he’d come up with, “Man, I promise you I have this disease,” and so forth, and “I have a blister on my lungs,” and all that kind of b.s. It’s hard, because Michael’s a Virgo, man—he’s very set in his ways. You can’t talk him out of it. Chemical peels and all that stuff.
On Whether he Thinks Michael Had Some Deep Seated Issue On How He looked
Well, that comes about a certain way. I’m not sure how it happens. I’m just a musician and a record producer. I’m not a psychiatrist. I don’t understand all that stuff. We all got problems. But there’s a great book out called Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart. Did you see that? That book says the statute of limitations has expired on all childhood traumas. Get your stuff together and get on with your life, man. Stop whinin’ about what’s wrong, because everybody’s had a rough time, in one way or another.
On Whether He Will Attend Michael’s Funeral
No, not at all, not at all. Because it’s going to be, like, 9 million people there, and it’s not what I want to see. I can’t be there, anyway. I’m going to Wales the day after tomorrow, I go to Montreux, I go to Marbella, I go to the south of France. My condolences and love I’ve already sent to the family. But being there with 10 million people is not my idea of a tribute to somebody you were so close to—who’s got a part of your soul. Our souls were joined, you know. And a piece of it goes with him.
I don’t believe in any of that bullsh*t, No. Never. I’ve been around junkies and stuff all my life. I’ve heard every excuse. It’s like smokers—”I only smoke when I drink” and all that stuff. But it’s bullshit. You’re justifying something that’s destructive to your existence. It’s crazy. I mean, I came up with Ray Charles, man. You know, nobody gonna pull no wool over my eyes. He did heroin 20 years! Come on. And black coffee and gin for 40 years. But when he called me to come over to see him when he was in the hospital on his way out, man, he had emphysema, hepatitis C, cirrhosis of the liver, and five malignant tumors. Please, man! I’ve been around this all my life. So it’s hard for somebody to pull the wool over my eyes. But when somebody’s hell-bent on it, you can’t stop ‘em. It’s ridiculous, man! Chemical peels and all of it. And I don’t understand it. But he obviously didn’t want to be black… What do you think? You see his kids?

Michael Jackson Funeral Plans
Posted Jul 2nd 2009 3:10PM by TMZ Staff
So finally we have something firm on Michael Jackson’s private family service. It will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles.
A motorcade will then go to the Staples Center complex in downtown Los Angeles where the public memorial will be held. We’re told the family still hasn’t decided whether the memorial will be at the Staples Center or the smaller Nokia Theatre. A decision on that is expected shortly.

Michael’s Doc Won’t Attend Funeral
Posted Jun 30th 2009 5:14AM by TMZ Staff
Michael Jackson’s doctor — the one who didn’t call 911 for 30 minutes after finding MJ unconscious — won’t be attending his funeral, this according to the doc’s rep.
We’re told Dr. Conrad Murray hasn’t been watching the media coverage and has been “isolating himself” from the public. Also, Murray hasn’t spoken with the Jackson family since he saw them at the hospital on the day Michael died.
Murray’s rep said he’s skipping the funeral to “mourn privately for the death of his friend.”

We knew something like this would happen!!
Michael Jackson was taken by ambulance from his Holmby Hills home to a nearby Los Angeles hospital on Thursday afternoon!!
Supposedly, the singer went into cardiac arrest and the paramedics had to administer CPR!!!
His mother is even on the way to visit him!!!
We are dubious!!
Jacko pulled a similar stunt when he was getting ready for his big HBO special in ‘95 when he “collapsed” at rehearsal!
He was dragging his heels on that just like his upcoming 50 date London residency at the 02 Arena, of which he already postponed the first few dates!!!
Either he’s lying or making himself sick, but we’re curious to see if he’s able to go on!!!
